Warners Bay runs from the cafés and units along The Esplanade, up the slopes toward Mount Hutton and Eleebana. The streets up the hill are mostly brick homes from the 1970s and 80s, now getting split systems, pool pumps and EV chargers their original wiring never planned for.
Down near the foreshore, newer apartment blocks and townhouses mean body corporate work, shared meter rooms and more careful scheduling. Up the hill the blocks are bigger, and the houses have grown with the families in them: a granny flat out the back, a garage turned into a rumpus room, a pool put in during the 1990s.
Each of those was usually wired off the original board, which is why we find so many overloaded circuits and doubled-up breakers in this suburb. When a home office, a second split system or a car charger is next on the list, we look at the whole supply first instead of squeezing in one more circuit.
The cafés and shops sit together at the northern end of the lake, so most of our commercial work in Warners Bay is booked before the doors open or after the last coffee is poured.
